About Narrative Healing therapy
Narrative Healing Therapy is a trauma-informed group practice rooted in narrative therapy: the belief that our identities and realities are shaped by the stories we tell ourselves and the stories others tell about us.
Some stories help us feel connected, grounded, and whole. Others are shaped by trauma, shame, grief, family, culture, relationships, sexuality, or survival.
Our work creates space for clients to slow down, make meaning of what they have been carrying, and begin moving forward with more compassion, choice, and self-trust.
Our mission
Our mission is to help clients reclaim their stories, strengthen connection, and move toward healing in ways that feel honest, affirming, and deeply human.
As a group practice, we are also committed to supporting the mental health of our broader community through therapy, education, collaboration, healthy sexuality, clinical training, and future programming beyond the therapy room.
COMMUNITY
We believe healing can extend beyond the therapy room through care, education, collaboration, and meaningful conversations about mental health.
Story
We believe the stories we carry shape how we see ourselves, our relationships, and what is possible for our lives.
our core values
CONNECTION
We believe healing happens through safe, respectful, and supportive relationships.
EMPOWERMENT
We believe therapy should help people reconnect with their voice, choices, boundaries, desires, and sense of agency.
CURIOSITY
We approach people with openness, compassion, and a willingness to understand the complexity of their lived experiences.
CREATIVITY
We believe healing is not one-size-fits all and may include expressive, experiential, relational, and meaning-making approaches.
Growing with our community
Narrative Healing Therapy is growing with intention. Our vision includes groups, workshops, community-based programming, and becoming a trusted training site for interns from local graduate counseling programs.
We are building a practice where clients feel supported and clinicians are encouraged to develop their voice, clinical identity, and meaningful areas of specialization.
